The Technical Regulation of the Dakar Classic 2027 has been adjusted by the ASO in three areas compared to the previous year. Two concern mandatory safety equipment. One concerns the mounting of the navigation instruments in the vehicle.
An adjustment to the mandatory safety equipment on the vehicle. Details in the PDF, in the section on mandatory equipment.
A further change to mandatory safety equipment. Both points together translate into concrete retrofits before the technical scrutineering in Barcelona.

A complete, annotated overview of all three changes with DELTA recommendations for implementing them on your vehicle is provided to customers as part of the preparation for 2027.
The Dakar Classic 2027 is governed by two separate documents issued by the ASO. The Technical Regulation concerns the vehicle. The Sporting Regulation concerns the conduct of the competition.

Participation in the Dakar Classic 2027 requires a complete ASO entry, including technical vehicle scrutineering in Barcelona before shipping to Saudi Arabia. All safety equipment must be installed and verified before scrutineering. Missing or non-compliant equipment can delay or prevent the shipment of your vehicle.
The ASO entry includes several deadlines for documentation, payments, spare-parts shipping and crew registration. These run on separate timelines and must all be tracked carefully.
DELTA handles the entire ASO entry process. All documents, all deadlines, the entire communication. You focus on driving.
